11 of us started the weekend early as we gathered at ours on Thursday night. Cousin Steve Ran for cover (but only after the pizza was finished). |

Friday arrived overcast but dry, a trip to the local supermarket was in order, to replenish the stocks drunk. We may have still been under the influence as pink pompoms where bought! We arrived on site with no fuss and pitched up. Honestly they never new we where there…. oh OK so we caused a bit of a commotion & the next few people to arrive when saying they where looking for the Hen Party where told “their here & their pitched that way” More people arrived, including Jo on her 125cc all the way from Shotley bridge, furthest she’s been on it to date. So tent’s pitched and a fire started |

| > Invaded the main arena for food (and shopping), then back to the fire for more drink and wait for the last few to arrive. Purple Girl arrived last and was pitched and ready to party so 16 of us headed back up to the main field |

Friday nights bands where ‘Emerald’ & ‘Jalapinos’ unofficially supported by male pole climbers clothed and naked. Slightly Muddy with New Flashy Things. Purple Girl with yes.. purple bunny ears Then bands finished, Disco started had a bit more of a dance and then back to the tents for a warm…. Some people warmed more than their hands. Finally went to bed about 4am… heard the clock at Sledmere strike |
| >Saturday arrived a little sunnier than Friday with a hint of more sun to come.
After a constitutional meander around the campsite looking at bikes, tents and meeting people I got an idea of just how big the place was. Finished at the main arena in time to see the start of the bike show. What do you think… does it class as a caravan camouflaged as Guinness!! |

| Then some, taking requests, went in search of another supermarket as again more had been drank than intended. (whoops!) Some did not make it away from the bike show, it was very near the bar after all. Some of us made it all the way to the main gates of Sledmere Hall and had a look around the Hall and Gardens (nice toilets), the hall has some stunning rooms, and we sat in the sun shine in the garden. After the long walk round to the main gates we asked if there was a short cut back and where told if we did not mind climbing a fence or 2 then yes there was!! On seeing 5 ladies climbing the fence a marshal came over to see if we where sneaking in……….us, 5 of us … as if we could sneak.. after seeing our wrist bands he left us to get the others over the fence. Saturday night arrived at 7pm most of us got dressed in our matching T-shirts and pompoms where distributed and a large willy inflated just for the look of it… and what a lovely bunch we made!.. |

| >We caused quite a stir on our way to the main marquee, even being stopped for a photo shoot at the MAG Stall… not what we where expecting eehh Trikeress? We where asked to initiate a rally virgin so he was carried / dragged into the main marquee and placed in a bin and had tins of pink silly string emptied on him (well we where not going to waist alcohol.), then he was kissed by some of the girlies… some may see he got of lightly… Again men stripped to climb the tent poles or stripped to be whipped with pompoms. |

| The bands where Celtic Cross, Jackel and headlining where Whole Lotta DC. Enjoyed all the bands, but the AC/DC tribute band really got the pompoms spinning.
As the disco started, it was back to the tents and the fire (we had a hidden log pile). The inflatable willy was used as a seat, causing much amusement until slightly muddy sorted out how to sit on it, like a chaise-longue. (which she won’t give me a picture of!)
Sunday arrived all too soon and it was time to go home.
