In this week's episode of 'Floyd on Guiness'

The happy bus returned with, surprisingly, most of the folk who left on it.

Spank the plank kicked off Saturday's proceedings with a lot of blues numbers mixed with some rock covers.

I have been asked though, by the missus, to point out to the band (if they read this ;-) that if they play a song that fills the dance floor, please don't change the style of the next song so that they empty it. She's got a point.

They were followed by the excellent 'Company' from North Yorkshire mixing Rock Covers, Floyd and even Stevie Wonder.

I've noticed that saturday nights at rallies take a little longer to get on the boil so to speak.

Probably coz we're all getting older, well the average age is 37 according to the superbly balanced and factually correct BBC frontline stinking pile of pooh, er, documentary programme. Aye, I'm gonnae moan about it here too.

In reality I think folk were a bit knackered after such a good party on Friday night. The second wind kicked in at about 11:30pm and it all got nuts again.

Trophy time and the club had a hard time picking some of the trophies, i.e. best trike = only trike, but Steph's would've won anyway.

Half the hall seemed to be consumed by the Cruiser Club's 'big night out' with the Dragonslayers getting runner up club mileage, they been at every Rampant Rally.

The obiquitous Black Widows were in force, I wonder what they're annual rally mileage is? , probably measured in times round the earth.

If ye had a good time blame this pair amongst others
The special trophy went to Raymond, for tenacity in the face of beaurocracy.

It's getting harder and harder to find sites for rallies, what with all sorts of laws and EC regs on farm subsidies that might affect farmers (Rallies are not motorsport, but then politicians won.t give a crap and they'll screw the farmers anyway.)

Raymond stuck it out and him, Rab and the rest of the club got to host a great party, Cheers Folks. I did also notice a number of FVMCC giving the Rampants a dig oot.

It's always a good sign when folk travel long distances repeatedly to a rally. So here's lookin' forward to next year.
