For me, much of the enjoyment of going to a rally is the journey to get there, so I really enjoyed the ten minutes it took to get to the Rampant Lion Rally. Nestled in an ex-mod bunker this rally is run by folk just for the love of it. I do lots of rallies and this one is amongst the top rallies that are run for the sheer joy and masochism of hosting a good party. As Raymond commented on Friday night 'Urg, Am no doin' this again', ok Raymond, at least not until next year then. The Rampant Lion Rally Club is effectively a group of mates who have other mate chip in and give them a dig out to run the rally. |

This is the 'Umpteenth' (well researched figure dontchya know) Rampant Rally, it attracts folk from far and wide. Following what is now a tradition, Caley Cruiser Club had 249 tickets leaving one to be shared amongst the other couple of hundred rallyists :-) . An accurate count of the CCC support amount to er, alot. |

With the organisers always on the lookout for ways to make a rally better, with an eye on the 'Yagottasmokeootside' law, a couple of halfed oil drums fuelled by Steph's offcuts, I hope he didn't need that wooden leg, provided heat and gathering places for smokers and non-smokers alike. Don't worry, I'll get bored of mentioning the smoking ban soon. There was a band on Friday night, I definitely recall that there was a band playing, well folk were dancing to something, for the life of me I can't recall who (hic), brave attempts by the local S.C.T.P.O.P.W.N.O.R.C (Soggy Crumpled Tiny Piece Of Paper With Notes On Rescue Team) didn't bear fruit, so that information is lost in time and space. Update, Friday night, 'Harlot' followed by 'Perfect Remedy', Saturday night 'Bluessential and 'Joe's Band' |

Blessed by sunshine, Saturday consisted of er, me buggering off home for me breakfast, returning mid afternoon to the sunbathers and folk returning from afternoon in the pub in Dunfermline courtesy of a vintage bus provided by the bus museum. There were a few burnt pus's* about late on Saturday. * Scots vernacular meaning 'Coupon' ** ** West of Scotland Vernacular meaning 'face' |
