Returning to the big tent, via the beer tent to refuel where Abe seemed to have been standing in the same spot all weekend, looking none the worse for wear I might add.

The first band of the evening, Mischief, broke into song, pretty good they were too. A text message told me that some of my mates were 'half way up the big tent', aye right !, needle in a haystack, it was mobbed. I bumped into everyone but them.

Some folk saw fit to make that extra bit of effort and dress up for the occassion, Yambabe and Moggy having raided the wardrobe to good effect.

The next band were a Ska outfit the Supatones, they had the place jumpin. Many folk were waiting for and indeed had come along just to see the Stranglers. I can't say I was too impressed but then they're not my favourite band, the crowd seemed to think differently despite what appeared to be a poor sound.

Rabbit, headlights ?

In the darkness we blundered back to the tents, we detoured to follow the familiar skirl of Stevie's pipes amongst the Hillbillies and a mad Welshman.. He played in the wee hours until the rain finally decided to show up and it was time to hit the sack.

That's another Castle well and truly Stormed, Thanks to all the folk who worked so hard over the weekend to keep the thousands in bog roll and beer. Great party, see yers next year. Think I'll pre-book though.
