On arrival the rally was already busy, very busy, this is always a good sign, as per usual it was straight to the wee marquee, which I'm told was, this year, erected by the weans under the watchful eye of the newly monikered 'Grumpy Dave'... Partaking of my free nip and a couple of rolls with Ronco Explodo-eggs which I ate in traditional style of more yolk on me combat than in me gob. |

Still feeling hungry I joined a group of bumbling troubadors for dinner, well a bunch of well meaning idiots would be more accurate, I include myself in that description :-) The hotel is apparently under new management, the 'Bikers Dinner' wouldn't even register 1 star on 'Ergot Ronnies' Metzeler Star award system ... Ah've tasted better out of a skip, why I've eaten out of a skip is another story, but in true Food Critic terminology, it was shite !... Bikers are human beings, we do possess taste buds, no really, otherwise we'd all drink Tennents Lager FFS. Quite why anyone thought they could rip the piss serving this crap up is beyond me. Just needed a wee rant about that, Of course the endless free grub provided by FVMCC in the marquee saved the day ..... |

Friday night Trogg was turning out the tunes interrupted by a bunch of folk with various instruments and strange names like Whumff and Flat Oot, both played great sets that filled the floor, Flat oot's singer, er Claire, sorry if that's wrong but I was bolloxed, has a great voice, I right enjoyed their set. |

Like many, we adjourned to the pub in Biggar, the poor old locals couldn't get a look in, a few pints and the biggest Haddie I've ever seen !, 'kin 'ell I thought Jonah was gonna fall out of it. There seems to be a food theme going on here, well, hanging about with some Fat Bastards will have an effect if you hang around long enough :-) |
