The demo run met up as usual at Leith Links, an estimated 500-600
bikes turned out, pity they didn't come to the rally ;-)
After some confusion about police presence, the bikes left to
head up Leith Walk, of course we all thought that the crowds were
out just to see the demo, perhaps thier attention was on the Lieth
Gala parade coming the other way down Leith Walk, hope we didn't
steal too much of the thier thunder, oops.
The run took a new route this year, marshalls were not allowed
to cover for the police so the entourage was split up on occasion
as we had to stop for red lights and suicidal pedestrians.
Along Princes Street, Haymarket, Costorphine Road and into Turnhouse,
behind the airpot, where everyone lay about in the sun enjoying
the delicate fragrance of AvGas. Got a cigarette?
The MAG folk had decided to try a new event, this year, a 40
mile treasure hunt, a couple from Hull won the prize, being the
only folk who actually filled out the form correctly.
