1999 - Bloody 'ell it stayed dry !, no repetition of last years quagmire, s'funny how a bit of sun (at least no rain) makes a difference, the run down from Scotland seemed to take half the time.

The Little Chef at Scotch Corner has stopped serving unlimited toast with big breakfasts, damned injustice if ye ask me !, then again we probably caused a big hole in their profits last year when we must have eaten about 10 loaf's worth.

Look no mud !
I like this rally coz it's so laid back, I spent lots of time chillin' by the campfire bletherin' to those who stopped by

Saturday's amusement was provided by the Royal Logistics Corps - Bomb Disposal !, seems somebody found an old mortar shell in the river and was seen putting in his tent (presumably to bolt on the front of 'is rat) .

I'd like to say thanks to the folk who either worked in a fireworks factory or had bottomless wallets for the fireworks displays dotted around the site, it all added to the atmosphere.

There was a portable dyno on site which drew a fair crowd, most of whom 'cept the owners were waiting for a bike to go BANG!, luckily no did (that I know of)

Very tidy XJR, nice paint job, looks stock until you take a close look at the very nice detailing

The custom show had some nice bikes in it but there were plenty more around the site, these babies (left) were sittin' by the dyno, both beautifully crafted and the GPz is a huge improvement on the stock one.

Paintjobs in a bun dance, this monster had more than a couple of Halford's spray tins thrown at it. tn_fy99_5.jpg (14391 bytes)

A tasty GSx in a tasty Martek frame, the gorgeoussness and quality of these frames is undescribable but then so is the price. tn_fy99_7.jpg (12178 bytes)

96, This was the best site yet, but the locals
in the village didn't like "our type"
so they moved it in '97,
but it pissed wi' rain big style
which dampened spirits a bit .
But we managed to enjoy oursel's, somehow .
98 the rally was moved back to the old site, what an improvement, this is a "Don't Miss It Or Yer An Arse" Rally. Sooo laid back that I actually fell over several times, hmmm wonder why)

Oh Ma Hied ! See Whit 6 Litres o' Cheap Safeway Cider Does tae yer
Missus !
