Farmyard 2001

This Years Entrance

Well it's the Farmyard again, it's bin a shitty year for rallies wot with Foot & Mouth, but we weren't going to miss this one, babies and hooses meant that there was only two of us this year so it made it all a bit different, of course the change of site to Pickering (12 miles from Helmsley) helped make it different too. The location may have changed but the vibe was the same. It was well worth the effort in the rally drought to refill yer spirits at the farmyard. Well done to Yorks MAG for organising the nightmare of site change at the last moment.

Gone was the wooded valley, replaced by a Biiig field surrounded with hedges, there were fires but as it was late July there benefit wasn't felt so much. Falling over beside a fire on a cool June night is the biz.

The bands were prettygood, busier than usual, I think the warm weather meant fewer folk sittin' around thier tents and fires. The support band played the usual covers and were pleasing the crowd, personally I'd heard better pub bands than Nine Below Zero, but that's just my opinion.

I'm lookin' forward to next year, hopefully back at the old site.
