Well we hadn't been to Stormin' since '97 wot with one thing and ten million others, with the screw up of f&m I was bloody determined to go.

This year just reaffirmed this as one of my favourite rallies, I had a ball. Laid back atmosphere, good camping good music and just to get out o' ma face and forget the big shitty world outside.

I've missed a lot of folk this year, ye know the one's that you generally only bump into at rallies, it was good to meet up with old friends
.
I'm afraid I've got pretty bored with tribute bands, last time I was at Stormin' Limehouse Lizzy played and were all right, as I happened to like T'in Lizzy, but Plane crazy bored my tit's off. The main saving grace was Celtic Cross, anyone who was in the wee beer tent on Saturday afternoon who's head was in the same nebula as mine would agree, wot a laugh, good songs, good patter.

On Saturday night (don't know about Friday coz I can't remember much, me and Jack D got a bit friendly), the warm up band was Wildcats of Kilkenny, Double Bass, Fiddle, Piano & Drums, at bike rally, well the lad could sure play a fiddle and any band that can get hunner's o' bikers jiggin' to a Carpenters song deserves a prize. Plane Crazy didn't do much for me, I saw Sabbath in '78 at the Glasgow Apollo, I think I'lljust cherish that memory.

Plenty of good examples at the custom show, dunno who won yet but I loved the diddy we 125 & v-Twin chops, the workmanship and proportions were superb, they got my vote.

Sue (Drink Monster) having run out of beer and too drunk to walk back to the tent applies gentle persuasion on order to separate Kev from his beer.
